We found out that we were expecting in December, so were able to let our parents know as a wonderful Christmas present. When we were able to find out the sex of Baby Ostrenga, we had the sonographer write down the gender and put in an envelope. We took it to the bakery and got cupcakes make with either pink or blue icing in the middle. The Germanys and Ostrengas and some wonderful friends all gathered at our house to find out with us if we were having a little girl or boy!
It's a BOY!!!
We were so excited about our little boy, and decided on the name Robert Walton. "Robert" is Andy's middle name and a family name on his side, and "Walton" is my middle name and a family name on our side.
Our friends at work threw us 2 baby showers to help us get ready for the arrival of little Robert. The pharmacy department at UMC had a wonderful diaper shower for us. Decorations were adorable, and we got a whole closet full of diapers and wipes!
The nurses and doctors that Andy work with had a bowtie-themed shower for us. They nicknamed Andy "Andy Bob", so of course Robert has become known as "Baby Bob" around the children's hospital.
